Real Life Girl Fighting Evil: Malala Yousafzai

There is no way you haven't heard of Malala Yousafzai. She has made international news several times in her young life, most recently for being the youngest Nobel Peace Prize nominee ever. Malala is a young activist in Pakistan. When she was only 11 and 12, she wrote an anonymous blog about her views for education for girls. She was later filmed for a documentary on her life.

In October 2012, Malala was shot in the head on a bus ride to school in an assassination attempt by a Taliban gunman. She survived and after a period of recovery, returned to her life of activism. She has recently released an autobiography.

Malala is an inspiration. She fights for education and girls' rights and so much more. She's an incredible young girl and there is really not enough words to describe how wonderful this young woman is. She is, after all, the bravest girl in the world.

Malala's incredible speech on the Daily Show (this moved me to tears! Left Jon Stewart totally speechless.)
